Still Shredding! LEvel2!

yes I am still shredding. I have to admit I was feeling poorly so I had skipped a couple of days. I didn't wimp out and do two more days of level 1. Oh no! I went on to LEVEL 2!
 I have to say it's easier starting out this level then it was level 1. I have more endurance than I had at the beginning. I can't say that I lost weight (the Wii says I gained 2 lbs!) but here are my measurements for this week!



Bicep 13 1/2

Thigh 20

Waist 43 3/4

Hips 44 1/2

Shred kicked my ass (actually it was my lungs!)

Today was like no other day doing the shred. Why? Because I ignored my own weakness.
 I have had asthma all my life, and before I did the shred this time I didn't do a nebulizer treatment. I was in a hurry, wanted to get the shred done so I could shower and think about going to bed. BAD idea. 
 Mid way through the shred (well, around the time we were doing the lunges with lateral raises) I had to give into my body and do a neb treatment. I didn't feel weak, I just knew I had to do it to get through the workout.
 After the neb treatment, I got right back into it and finished strong. 

It's ok to know yourself, don’t ignore your weaknesses. At least the ones that matter. (like breathing!!)

Day 5 here I come!

Shred day 3...getting easier!

I must say that for the past two days I've been HURTING! I mean I'm having issues at work getting down low enough to clean the fridges! (Don't tell Tim! :) )
Yesterday I got some 2 lb weights at K Mart (2.99 a piece) and found that it made it easier to do the exercises. It look less focus off the pain in my legs lol when I was  doing the arm movements.
 I can also tell you I feel the difference in my clothes already. My abs are tighter so my pants feel a bit loser. It may be all in my mind but I'm motivated to do more!

Day 2: Sore but confident!

So by now those of you who are in the competition are feeling a bit sore like I am I'm sure. I have to admit I still haven't used weights but I hope to get to the store before 12am after work  ( The stores close here at 12am on Saturday nights) and get some veggies and fruits for our new juicer along with some weights.
I also noticed that today was harder than yesterday. I'm sure it had to do with my muscles being sore from yesterday and I think I pushed a little harder today. As promised, Jillian is kicking my ass!
If you haven't already, for some great motivation check out "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" on netflix. It's about a man in Australia who went on a 60 day juice fast.
Now I'm not saying that we should all go out and juice for 60 days, I'm only suggesting it because it's an awesome documentary on human ambition and motivation. It also shows how someone overweight and sick, when they push themselves, can achieve a lot!

Oren and I bought (well he did) a juicer and hope to have at least one juice a day if not more.
I also found out that I've lost 7lbs since I last did the Wii weight in. It's been at least 2 months since I did it and I was surprised!

Shredded!

I just finished the first level of the 30 day shred. I have to admit I feel energized but boy dose Jillian push you! I think that is what I need in a trainer and I think I'm going to do well on the shred. I didn't use weights this time because I wasn't sure if I was ready. I think by mid way through level 1 I should be able to use some. How many of you used weights the first time around?
 Unfortunately, I still want pizza after I just finished that bad boy, LOL I'm sure that feeling with change as well. On to day two!!
